Big tip- Sync your User Waypoints!

Since AvPlan version 9, you can synchronise your User Waypoints as well as your aircraft and your flight plans. We strongly encourage you to do this (you can turn syncing on or off in Settings>User Settings).

Syncing your User Waypoints etc means that they are automatically shared between all of your AvPlan devices via our cloud servers.

Add User Waypoints

To add a User Waypoint, you have several options:

Option 1:

  1. Tap Planning > User Waypoints

  2. Tap Add

  3. You can enter the Lat/Long, or search for a street address, or use a distance/bearing from a known location

  4. Give your waypoint a name

  5. Tap the back button ( < symbol, top-left of that window) to save your changes.

Option 2:

  1. Tap EnRoute

  2. Tap on the map to bring up the Nearest Items list.

  3. The first entry in the Nearest Items list will always be 'Add User Waypoint'. The Lat/Long will be the point at which you tapped the map.

Option 3:

  1. Tap EnRoute

  2. Tap the Map Settings button:

  3. Place a tick next to crosshair Cursor. A pair of crosshairs will appear on the screen, with a readout of the Lat/Long at the bottom of the map.

  4. Pan/Zoom the map so the crosshairs are over the place you wish to add a waypoint.

  5. Tap the centre of the crosshairs to bring up the Add User Waypoint popup.

Delete User Waypoints

  1. Tap Planning > User Waypoints

  2. Swipe the waypoint you wish to delete from right-to-left

  3. A Delete button should be revealed. Tap it to delete the waypoint.

  4. NOTE: If you can't delete it, it's currently being used in the open flight plan. Either close the flight plan, or remove that waypoint from the flight plan.

  5. You can also delete all by scrolling to the bottom of the page and tapping Delete All.
